Z-CoiL Testimonial of the Month: July

I suffer from severe lower back and leg pain. I am 100% flat-footed and I have rheumatoid arthritis throughout my body. Last October (2005), I bought my first pair of ZCoiL® shoes because a friend said the shoes were ugly, but they eased the pain.

Seven years ago I adopted my Chinese baby girl, and before I bought ZCoiL® shoes, I wasn't able to do all the things most moms do with their girls. I teach, and after being on my feet all day, I had to lay down and elevate my feet to take the pressure off my back, take pills, and so on. Now I can play and enjoy being with my daughter.

We also spend time in China so my daughter can learn about her language, culture, and heritage. While we're in China, I also teach, though under much worse conditions . . . but now that I have Z-CoiL® shoes-it doesn't matter!

This past December I returned to China to conduct a study and I even went sightseeing without difficulty. I walked all over Tiannanmen Square and the Forbidden City. I felt great!

Thank you Z-CoiL-I have my life back!!

For anyone who is suffering from leg or back pain . . . buy Z-CoiL® shoes and take back your life!

Z-CoiL Testimonial of the Month: June

My name is Wanda Sharp. I am a 40-year-old mother of two and have dealt with back pain for more years than I can remember. I have tried more medication than I can name, along with chiropractic manipulation and physical therapy to cope with osteoarthritis and degenerative disk disease in my back. I work on my feet, on concrete, all day. Not the best job for a person with my back problems.

Three days after purchasing my first pair of Z-CoiL® shoes, I was nearly pain-free and bowled a personal best on my bowling league. Not only will I get an award from the USBC (United States Bowling Congress), but I won enough money that night to buy my husband a pair the next day. Now he is pain-free as well.

Thank you! I can't remember the last time I felt this good or had this much energy. I wish I had a t-shirt that said, "Go ahead, ask me about my shoes. You will be glad you did!" Or maybe just a zcoil.com t-shirt? I tell literally everyone I meet to at least try on a pair when they can, and I ALWAYS have Z-CoiL business cards with me.

Z's are the bees knees!

P.S. Have you considered making a bowling shoe?

New Nike shoes talk to people via their iPods

Nike Inc. is putting the world's most popular music player to work in a system designed for its latest athletic shoes that tells runners the distance and time they've covered in their daily jog.

The company teamed up with Apple Computer Inc. to offer the Nike+iPod Sport Kit, a wireless system that includes a sensor chip used in Nike+ shoes to relay information to a receiver that attaches to an iPod nano music player.

In a demonstration video on its Web site, Nike showed a runner hooking up the system to his iPod nano, which then proceeded to keep him updated on his running time, distance, calories burned and other information. It also displays the information on the iPod's screen.

The new system can only be used with Nike shoes made for the Nike+, and the first such shoe on offer is the Nike+ Air Zoom Moire, which can be pre-ordered on the company's Web site. Nike has also specially designed other apparel, including jackets and shorts, and an iPod armband, with water-proof pockets for iPod nanos. (more)

Most people will suffer from some sort of foot, knee or back pain during their lifetime. And in many cases, these conditions will keep them from living a full life. But what if staying healthy was as simple as changing your shoes.

If Doctor Seuss made shoes, they might look like these shoes. While this funny footwear may make some people laugh, those who are wearing them are smiling for a different reason. They're finally walking without pain.

'It was significantly better in the knee department, perfect in the feet department, and pretty darn good in the rest of the department,' said Doctor John Webster, who wears Z-Coil Shoes.

John and Karolyn Webster have been wearing Z-Coil shoes for several years. They say the springy shoes have done wonders for alleviating their aches and pains."

April is Foot Health Awareness Month

April is Foot Health Awareness Month, So Do Your Feet a Favor

Z-CoiL® Footwear Brings Welcome Relief to Sore Feet

(Albuquerque, NM) Your feet take tremendous abuse. The impact of walking delivers a force that is two to three times your body weight, and three to five times your body weight when running! No wonder the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMS) has declared April to be Foot Health Awareness Month, to focus attention on this hard-working, yet often-neglected part of the body. And the cure for these poor suffering feet may be as simple as finding the right shoes, namely Z-CoiL® Pain Relief Footwear™.

"I have been off work for over one year, now going on two because of plantar fasciitis. I have had three different podiatrists as well, numerous orthotics, then I was given a series of shots, from cortisone to steroids and even shots to dissolve nerves in my heels. Nothing worked!" says Jovonne R. of San Bernardino, CA. By chance, she discovered Z-CoiL® Pain Relief Footwear™, and she says these shoes have made all the difference.

"Your Z-CoiL® shoes are a miracle!" Jovonne declares. "Now I actually look forward to going to the mall or to any function just to walk around. I don’t go places and just sit anymore; I’m up and moving or socializing.

People don’t realize that they don’t have to go through life with foot pain. I can’t say enough about how your shoes have helped me."

These unique-looking shoes with a conical-shaped steel coil in the heel have dramatically changed the lives of thousands of people who report either complete relief or a significant reduction in pain when wearing their Z-CoiL® footwear. The patented Z-CoiL® heel is designed to absorb up to 50% of the impact from walking or running, while delivering a 40 to 50% energy return. This coil-suspension system works in conjunction with a builtin orthotic that equalizes pressure distribution across the mid-foot, thereby reducing the pain caused by heel spurs or plantar fasciitis. Z-CoiL® shoes also feature thick neoprene cushioning under the forefoot and a permanent flex line at the ball of the foot, plus a rocker-bottom sole that gently assists each step. Such total foot support and cushioning work together to reduce the shock of impact to the body. And less impact means less pain.

Many podiatrists and orthopedic specialists agree. "I now commonly recommend Z-CoiL® shoes to my patients for foot, ankle, leg, knee, hip, and all back pain," says Aaron B. Kaufman, a Doctor of Osteopathy in Albuquerque, New Mexico, who wears the shoes himself. "It’s hard to think about wearing any other shoes now because these feel so good. I tell my patients that I’m addicted to my Z-CoiL® shoes!"

Americans Urged To Get Walking During April’s Foot Health Awareness Month

It doesn't matter who you walk with, just walk

Did you know healthy feet and a good pair of walking shoes are vital for walking? The reality is a 150 pound person walking one mile can exert a force of 63.5 tons on a single foot. For this reason, the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) wants to educate consumers about the impact walking can have on the feet.

“Walking is such a beneficial exercise, but unfortunately the feet are often ignored,” says President of APMA Dr. Lloyd Smith. “We want walkers to know that simply wearing the proper walking shoe can help curtail needless foot pain.”

How to select the proper walking footwear and the common foot ailments associated with walking are some of the messages the APMA will emphasize as part of Foot Health Awareness Month and the association’s continuing public awareness campaign Podiatrists Keep America Walking. In addition, the APMA has created a series of walking initiatives, including promotion of its third annual Best Walking Cities competition and development of a walking pocket guide.

During the spring months, the APMA in conjunction with Prevention, one of the most influential health and fitness magazines in the country, will generate nationwide interest in walking and its health benefits with its Best Walking Cities competition. Events, such as city walks to award presentations, will be held in each of the winning cities.

Today's sneakers fuse performance, lifestyle | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle: "Run DMC set a fashion trend in motion with its 1986 rap hit, My Adidas. Young fans everywhere began sporting pristine white Adidas sneakers with style.

Twenty years later, a nation of sneakers enthusiasts are singing their own tune: My Pumas. My Reeboks. My Nikes. My Converses.

In 1985, Nike debuted Michael Jordan's famed Air Jordan I, a black, red and white sneaker that broke the NBA's rule regarding all-white basketball shoes. Jordan only wore the shoes three times, but experts say the controversy fueled the Air Jordan craze. Nike celebrates the release of Air Jordan XXI ($150) this week. It's the 21st shoe in the Air Jordan family.

For people looking for comfort over fashion, a wave of therapeutic sneakers also have hit the market. The curious-looking Z-Coil shoe ($200) is a walking shoe with a heel made of a steel coil. It's designed to ease foot pain and prevent other foot ailments by providing additional support and cushion."
