"Two and a half years ago I was injured during an assault at my school restraining a student. I had a prior fusion at the L4-5 in 1998 due to a similar incident. After a year of recovery, I felt that my life was back. After the second incident, my left lumbar area was sprained and I was basically back in the same boat as before. The despair was overwhelming and I have tried to seek every kind of help imaginable to get better. I've either been told it's hopeless, given heavy medication, and shuffled from one doctor to another, but mainly I've been told that it will only worsen.
